At the close in Tokyo, the\u00a0Nikkei 225\u00a0fell 0.80%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The best performers of the session on the\u00a0Nikkei 225\u00a0were\u00a0Mitsubishi Motors Corp.\u00a0(TYO:7211), which rose 5.83% or 36.50 points to trade at 662.60 at the close. Meanwhile,\u00a0Nippon Yusen K.K\u00a0(TYO:9101) added 5.34% or 222.00 points to end at 4,382.00 and Mazda Motor Corp (TYO:7261) was up 5.32% or 93.50 points to 1,852.50 in late trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The worst performers of the session were\u00a0Tokyo Electron Ltd.\u00a0(TYO:8035), which fell 5.23% or 1,145.00 points to trade at 20,750.00 at the close.\u00a0Dainippon Screen Mfg. Co., Ltd.\u00a0(TYO:7735) declined 4.42% or 645.00 points to end at 13,935.00 and\u00a0Advantest Corp.\u00a0(TYO:6857) was down 4.03% or 670.00 points to 15,955.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2122 to 1536 and 217 ended unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0Nikkei Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, was down 0.50% to 15.99 a new 3-months low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.60% or 0.54 to $91.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.35% or 0.33 to hit $94.76 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.65 to trade at $1,954.05 a troy ounce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
USD\/JPY was up 0.12% to 147.78, while EUR\/JPY rose 0.01% to 157.83.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 104.83.<\/p>\n
